Proteases and Surfactants

Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Mass Spec Grade

Trypsin/Lys-C Mix, Mass Spec Grade, is a mixture of Trypsin Gold, Mass Spectrometry Grade, and rLys-C, Mass Spec Grade. The mix is designed to improve digestion of proteins or protein mixtures in solution.

Recommended for use in standard in-solution protein digestion and in-solution digestion of proteolytically resistant proteins.

ProteaseMAX™ Surfactant, Trypsin Enhancer

Fast, high-quality protein digestion when used in combination with trypsin. Streamlined in-gel digestion protocol.

Trypsin Gold, Mass Spectrometry Grade

Manufactured for maximum specificity. Lysine residues in porcine trypsin have been modified by reductive methylation, yielding a highly active, stable molecule that is extremely resistant to autolytic digestion. Specificity is further improved by TPCK treatment. Each lot is qualified for in-gel digestion and mass spectrometric analysis.

rLys-C, Mass Spec Grade

A recombinant Lys-C expressed in E. coli and similar to native Lys-C, rLys-C cleaves at the carboxyl side of lysine residues with exceptional specificity. rLys-C retains proteolytic activity under protein denaturing conditions such as 8M urea, which is used to improve digestion of proteolytically resistant proteins. rLys-C activity is optimal in the pH range of 8–9.

IdeZ Protease and IdeS Protease

Immunoglobulin G-degrading enzymes for use in characterization of therapeutic antibodies, Fc-fusion proteins and antibody-drug conjugates.

 

Glycosidases

PNGase F

PNGase F is a 36kDa recombinant glycosidase. It catalyzes cleavage of N-linked oligosaccharides between the innermost GlcNAc and asparagine residues of high mannose, hybrid and complex oligosaccharides from N-linked glycoproteins.

Endo H

A 29kDa recombinant endoglycosidase with optimal activity between pH 5 and 6. Endo H cleaves high mannose and hybrid glycans. Complex glycans are resistant to cleavage.

Protein Deglycosylation Mix

Protein Deglycosylation Mix is a mixture of five protein deglycosidases (PNGase F, O-Glycosidase, Neurominidase, β1-4 Galactosidase, β-N-Acetylglucosaminidase) capable of removing glycans from both O-linked and N-linked glycosylation sites.

Fetuin

Fetuin is a glycoprotein with O-linked and N-linked glycosylation sites. It is an ideal control substrate to monitor activity of PNGase F or Endo H.

Mass Spec-Compatible Human Extract

The mass spectrometry-compatible human protein extract is designed for mass spectrometry applications such as instrument monitoring and method development. The extract is predigested and cleaned up by solid-phase extraction and ready for immediate use. Human extract provides a complex proteome with a large dynamic range for use as a reference standard in LC/MS.

Mass Spec-Compatible Yeast Extract

The mass spectrometry-compatible yeast protein extract is designed specifically for use in mass spectrometry applications. The extract is predigested and cleaned up by solid-phase extraction, ready for immediate use. Yeast extract provides a relatively compact and well-studied proteome for use as a reference standard in LC/MS.
